This crude oil Heater Firetube collapsed due to progressive scale fouling deposit on its outside surface, a thermal isolation crust over 1" thickness was formed on the water side, which blocked the heat transfer flow from the inside of the firetube. This phenomenom sharply increased the inside temperature in the firetube which collapsed, as shown, in very short time. 

The solution to this issue is to HSA Hyperhydrolize the scale salts in the hard water to prevent them from forming solid hard scale deposits on the outside of the firetube. Instead a highly stable, non-adhesive highly fluid cohesive slurry is formed, which can be continuously dumped out of the heater as it is formed. This goal is attained through HSA effect in the oil and water mix fed to the Heater, such special effect also promotes oil full dehydration, all of this in only one step!!

Water Floc Removal


The Upper picture shows a Backwash operation of a water static media filter. Filter media retains iron salts and suspended solids present in feed water, the backwash operation expels retained solids out of the filter media as shown, hence the dark brownish colour of the water.

 

Raw Feed water was previously HSA pre conditioned, hyperhydrating the existing Iron Salts and Suspended Solids, which means they become tightly covered and clustered by water molecules, losing adhesivity and gaining high fluid floc cohesion.

 

In the lower picture, this HSA effect phenomenon is revealed by the readily separation of the retained floc from the flowing water, which then remain crystal clear as seen there. So, HSA effect on water is the way to straight AUTOCOAGULATION and to get crystal clear water clarification by forming a non-adherent highly cohesive floc stuff that does not stain any surface; hence this process also protects Reverse Osmosis membranes.

Hard Scale Dissolution


Upper picture shows a heavy scale layer  formed inside a large Air Compressor cooling water pathway operated with raw Sea water. The hard scale thickness is well over 1/4", and Compressor is just ready to be switched off for maintenance due to overheating risk. At this time HSA Hydro Beam devices are installed in the raw Sea water line. The picture in the middle shows how hard scale is being dissolved by the formerly preconditioned raw sea water cooling the compressor and, how scale crust are peeled off from the cooling passage wall. Lower picture shows finally clean, scale free cooling passage walls. Clean, scale-free walls were monitored in such clean condition for a period longer than 6 years. No chemicals added nor needed, and no sea water pretreatment applied.

 

The HSA hard salt hyper-hydrolyzation prevented scale from forming again on the passage walls, keeping it clean with no pollutants added!!
